	Since the inception of the Kawasaki Ultra product line we have been hard at work trying to improve the pump performance with our patented pump cone technology. What all of our testing and numerous prototypes confirmed was that this simple yet highly effective design performed best. This concept was originated by a good friend of ours and the most knowledgeable guy in watercraft performance development, Minoru Kanamori. Minoru was kind enough to share this concept with us a few years ago for the 15F. The timing for 15F products was bad since the Ultra had just been released so we opted to not produce it and the concept was reconfigured specifically for the Ultra’s eight vane pump. With the four vane extenders integrated into the tail cone the turbulent water in the pump is controlled and straightened for a longer distance. We also centered the tip of the tail cone in the bore of the nozzle to even the pressures inside the compression nozzle. All this translates to improved hook up, acceleration and a noticeable gain in top speed. Installation could not be easier and we also powder coat the tail cone for corrosion prevention.
